2009 Dankies Nominations!

The 2009 Dankie Awards, also known as the SoapCentral.com Awards are now in the nomination phase until January 19. The awards honor the Outstanding in a total of 16 different categories. The nominations are done by the fans and voted on by the fans.

To make a nomination you must be registered but you don’t have to be a poster on their boards. Registration is easy. So please login and nominate Carly, Jack, Maura or Michael in as many categories as appropriate! Voting will start in Feb.

Operation Vim & Vigor aka Find True North is officially underway today. Our strategy is all laid out on the True North Page. Please take a few minutes and review our plans. We can make a difference in what happens in the story for Jack and Carly, but we need to be proactive and make our voices heard. We’ve done it before and we can do it again. So please help us with postcards, compasses, letters, emails and calls to the comment line. What ever you can do to help is appreciated. Very importantly please help spread the word. We need all fans of Carly and Jack helping with this! And please check back often for updates and new ways we can show our support. Thanks in advance for your help! Are you in?

Maura West celebrates her birthday on Sunday April 27!  We need to flood the studio with birthday greetings.  So please send cards (multiples are good lol) or notes to her.  You can send emails but they do pay attention at the studio to the mail coming in and even count it.  So please take a couple of minutes the beginning of the week and send your birthday wishes to Maura.  Let her know we love and support her!

A new MySpace page has been created for Carly and Jack. CLICK HERE to view it and please join! We need to keep the buzz going about CarJack. If you don’t have a MySpace page for yourself, please create one. If you don’t know how to do it, the first place to ask for help is a teenager if you have one available. Otherwise ask here and we’ll try to help you out! You can make a basic page and keep your profile private if you wish. Please give your support by becoming a friend of Carly and Jack and spread the word and get others to join!

Okay a lot of people are frustrated with CarJack, Jack, the writers, the show in general. I know we all vent on message boards and with our fellow CarJackers. Well here’s a great place to vent, put that frustration to work, and hopefully still make the point that we want Carly to stop begging, Jack to stop acting like a jerk, fight for Carly and reunite CarJack.

Should Carly and Jack get back together?

Thanks for Voting.  The results are in and 65.25% said they want Jack and Carly to give there marriage another try!  32.98% said no to the idea and 1.77% said they just weren’t sure.  I think those results are terrific considering how badly CarJack has been beaten up by the writers.  Please keep letting TPTB know we want them back together!

Who is up for a writing campaign to The Powers That Be and the soap magazines to let them know that we support Carly and Jack as individuals as well as a couple and that we want them on their way to a reunion now! I know some people are writing and that is greatly appreciated but I think it’s time to step it up.

I just listened to an interview Jen Landon did a couple of days ago where she thanked the fans for all of the support and stressed how important it is that The Powers That Be know the fans are behind them. Without that she said the actors don’t have a job.

I know the writing is frustrating right now for Carly and Jack so I think it is more important that ever to show our support. We’ve done it before and we got the reunion we wanted. So do you have the vim and vigor to do it again? It can make a difference. The studio does pay attention to the mail coming in to the point that they even count the mail the actors get, so it’s important to write to Michael and Maura also. And all of the how to’s are setup on the True North page. We could definitely use some more postcards though if there are any volunteers. If you can’t make them, there are some there that all you have to do is print out.

So who is willing to help out and show some support for Maura and Michael and CarJack? Please post if you are onboard with this, even if it is just to say you’re in!  And if you have other suggestions of what we can do, please post them!  Don’t be afraid to be the first!

I received a great suggestion from a CarJacker that we setup a thread where the CarJackers can post why they still love CarJack. Unfortunately I’m setting it up a 2nd time as the servers dumped it for some unknown reason. So please post as to why you are a CarJacker and what makes you love them as much or more today than you ever did. When we get a lot of responses, I will print them out and mail them to Michael, Maura and The Powers That Be to show our support for CarJack! So please start posting and show the love and support!

It’s time to let The Powers That Be know we want a CarJack reunion.

They have a great story to tell for just the two of them on how they find their way back. No third parties are needed to cause any interference and would only cheapen the story. They both have plenty of flaws they need to own up to. They have enough issues to tackle on their own to tell a wonderful and layered story. Let them go back to the beginning and rebuild their friendship, trust and love. So please join in letting The Powers That Be know we want the healing to begin NOW! We have done it before and we can do it again! They need to know that there are still a lot of CarJack fans out there and that we want 2008 to be the best CarJack year ever! So let’s be vocal!  Please read Michael’s comments in the April 15 issue of SOW. Make special note of this comment:

I hope they (CarJack fans) still have the vim and vigor that Noah and Luke fans have, because it’s nice to know people are pulling for you.

Was Michael sending us a subtle message? Is he asking for our help? While the writing looks like Carly and Jack are headed back together, it sounds like it is not set in stone. So PLEASE harness your vim and vigor and show Michael and Maura they have our support and let THE Powers That Be know we will settle for no less than a reunion. It is time to show our support!

I’m setting up this blog so that hopefully the CarJack fans can share some ideas on how we can show our support. I’ve set up the True North page that has all the information on who to write, were to vote, and postcards etc. but we need some new and creative ideas. Please post your ideas or just that you are willing to help. Please help us launch Operation Vim and Vigor!
